About the book
Snuff O’Brien returned to Ireland in 1939 after serving as a volunteer soldier in the Spanish Civil War. Many of his friends were killed. He was severely injured and witnessed the atrocities depicted in Picasso’s painting, Guernica.
Back in his home-town he is drawn into layers of deceit, political gangs and murder. Then he is in conflict with the Church and events take on a more lethal angle.
